I’ve always been a bug guy.
I grew up in the South of France and quickly became fascinated by predatory arthropods. Unsurprisingly, I spent most of my childhood rearing and breeding scorpions and centipedes, spanning over 30 native and exotic species. After graduating from Aix-Marseille Université in 2022, I joined the MEME programme and attended courses at multiple European universities. As part of these rotations, I also took part in research projects on a variety of systems, ranging from ecological speciation ****in Heliconius butterflies to musculoskeletal biomechanics in volvatory arthropods. In the meantime, I conducted independent research focusing on biomechanics and taxonomy in Buthid scorpions. Now back at the Centre de Biologie pour la Gestion des Populations (CBGP) in Montpellier, France, I am investigating the genomic landscape of cryptic pest weevil populations in South Africa.

I am an avid photographer and hiker. I have taken my camera everywhere with me, from the Netherlands to the snowy volcanoes of Colombia.
